MCASS were recently awarded PQ Student Body of the Year 2011, a big thank you to everyone who nominated and helped us become the best in the business.

A lot of you may not be aware that as a chartered accountant student in the Manchester area you are automatically a member of the Manchester Chartered Accountant Student Society (M.C.A.S.S.). As part of your training contract you are automatically enrolled in a society that is run by students for students.

MCASS is run by a group of accountancy trainees who meet up once a month to discuss any matters affecting local students but also, and some would say more importantly, to arrange a variety of social events!

The purpose of these pages is to keep all Chartered Accountant Students in Manchester and the surrounding area bang up to date with all the latest news, happenings and forthcoming events.

Wednesday 9th November – Annual Firework Spectacular

It’s getting dark outside, so what better way to brighten up your evening than joining MCASS for fun and fireworks at Dukes 92 on Wednesday 9th November from 6pm onwards.

With a spectacular professional fireworks display in the centre of Manchester the night promises to be one to remember!

Tickets are only £8 including a glass of bubbly on arrival, food and a live band.

This annual event is always very popular and places are expected to fill up quickly, so to avoid disappointment reserve your place today.

Do you have what it takes to be on the MCASS committee? Then this event is your chance to prove it as we hold the MCASS Quiz night in association with Marks Sattin.

This event is your chance to meet the current committee, express your interest to stand for a position on MCASS and show that you have what it takes to run one of the Institutes most popular, award-winning district societies.
