2009 AGM & Quiz Night – 28th May 2009

This year the AGM had a great turn out with people from both small and large firms turning up to vote. Over 100 people attended the event and remained for the evening to participate in the Pub Quiz. With the new venue being the Pitcher and Piano in Manchester and a more sociable theme being the Pub Quiz the turn out for voting was higher than ever before!
The newly elected President of MCASS Dhruv Patel took on the roll of Quiz Master for the night and was organised by his fellow committee members Rebecca Biggins, Nicola Soden.
A New Committee a New year!
The last few months at MCASS have seen lots of innovation – a new format for the annual dinner, a brand new website, a new small-firms network, with the creation of two new committee positions being the small firms’ rep and the sports representative.
Going forward MCASS are increasing our collaboration with the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group thus resulting in bigger and better social networking opportunities.
These really are exciting and busy times for MCASS, and this is all evidence of what can be achieved in a relatively short period of time. MCASS are really starting to make our mark and are building a bigger and better society which we and our members can be proud of.
