Quiz Night

MCASS held a quiz on Thursday 30 November at Bar 38 in Manchester city centre. Approximately 50 people attended forming 12 teams.

The host Frankie, kept everyone entertained, asking a variety of questions ranging from naming the artist and next line of songs played, to identifying famous people in the picture round. The questions allowed some people to show off previously unknown talents.

It was a closely fought contest with the promise of champagne for the winners proving to be a great incentive. The sudden use of mobile phones after certain tricky questions did not go unnoticed!! The eventual winners beat off their closest competition by just 1 point.

The booby prize of a Manchester United CD did leave some teams wishing that they hadn’t tried quite so hard - honest!

The free bar and food went down very well with waiter service leading to a seemingly endless drinks supply without team members missing vital questions while going to the bar!

Thanks to Frankie and Bar 38 for helping to make the evening such a success. Another quiz is anticipated in 2001 - watch this space!
