This bloodthirsty competition has historically brought out the best and worst in NW firms, with the winning team not only needing footballing ability but also a large squad to compensate for tiredness, injury, alcohol abuse and red cards!!!!

As always, profits will be going to charity and the victors will have their faces appearing on the MCASS web-site and maybe even within the society magazine - Vital - after being presented with their plastic trophy and cheap sparkling wine.

Historically this event has been popular but there has been a distinct lack of female presence. In order to buck this trend we have looked to FIFA guidelines for assistance. Therefore, it has been decided that a team shall be awarded a "one goal per girl" advantage for every girl appearing in their playing staff during each game. Mr Sepp Blatter (FIFA President) allegedly introduced this directive in the interests of promoting the women's game.

However, his additional ruling that all women participants must be wearing hot pants and crop tops shall be ignored in this instance. The competition will be run as a six-a-side tournament, with a maximum of 3 substitutes per team. Due to the undeniable popularity of such a prestigious event, not to mention the glittering array of prizes on offer, places are snapped up quickly. We therefore ask that you register your all-star line-up with Emily Vaughan at Sphere Group in advance, as the tournament is limited to just 20 teams.
