In July we held our School Disco event at Lucid at the Printworks. The event was well attended with a good number of people turning up in the optional ‘school dress’.
Once people had arrived and signed in on the register they were presented with their free drinks vouchers and helped themselves to their school dinners (these have improved a lot since I was at school!).
The evening was going well until all of a sudden the fire alarms starting ringing and we were all evacuated to the street outside. The excuse was that the chef had overdone the school dinners a bit but with a bar full of mischievous school children who knows! The evening continued once we were allowed back inside although some pupils did have to be enticed back from neighbouring bars with more free drinks vouchers.
The event eventually died out with all going home (not so early) so they would be fresh for school the following morning.
