Manchester Chartered Accountants Student Society

Student Council Conference

In January the national student council met up in Manchester to discuss the changes currently taking place to chartered accountancy students. The two days were used to put across your views and give ideas and suggestions on the way forward. Whilst this is very important to us all I think it would be more fun to show some of the pictures from the dinner we had on the Saturday night that had a 'school tie' theme.

The event was held at the Picadilly hotel in Manchester and was attended by representative from all over the country. Not sure what some of the other residents of the hotel thought when they saw about a hundred 'school kids' running rampage through the hotel.

If you thought all these people would have looked out of place in a five star hotel imagine what we all looked like when after the dinner was finished a group decided it would be a great idea to carry the night on down on Canal Street!, although for some reason Martin Cooper, pictured below, did not think that this would be a wise idea and stayed in the residents bar. He did though win the prize for the 'best' dressed school kid, but some people were a bit worried about what type of school he went to!!
