Around fifty people turned up to the MCASS drinks and nibbles event in June at the Pitcher & Piano, sponsored by Robert Walters.
The bar was crowded as England played Portugal in the Euro 2004 quarter final. The crowd cheered as Michael Owen remembered how to score a goal and then cried in anguish as Beckham became Johnny Wilkinson and the Portuguese keeper ensured it was all over for another tournament.
The raffle that night was won by Afsheen Ahmad of PWC, congratulations Afsheen.
On the plus side, there was plenty of food and drink to be enjoyed by all, with our own fridge full of beer. What more could you want on a summer’s evening?
